The basic principle of our MOPS group at Divine Shepherd Lutheran church is to welcome all women as fellow moms who are trying to raise their child(ren) the best way are able too. We are here as a network to help each other navigate this ever changing world as Mothers! Since being a Mom is what brings us together, it is also what allows us to build a community by building friendships with other moms within our area.
Our group has great speakers, fun activities, great teachings and meets twice a month on Friday mornings from 9 – 11:15 am!
We would love for you to be a part of our MOPS group at Divine Shepherd. If you are interested in joining our group, please complete the registration below or if you have any questions, please feel free to Contact Us or contact the church office at 402-895-1500.
New to MOPS? Here is some of what you can expect during our time together. You will receive some practical help whether that is via a speaker we have for the day or something else to give you practical tools and insights into things that are important to you. You will also have personal mentoring available as there are mentor moms in attendance who have been through it all and have some great advice and a willing ear. You will also have plenty of time to chat with other moms as well as get creative with some fun crafts. While you are enjoying your time with other moms your child(ren) are cared for by our MOPPETS workers. Our MOPPET workers are all trained childcare workers who have age appropriate activities for your kid’s to participate in while you are away from them.
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. … Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:12,16
